Ed Crook established Crook and Company in 1985 and has been involved in real estate appraising since 1975. Previous work experience includes the Tennessee Department of Transportation and association with the appraisal firms of Lewis S. Pipkin Company and Hodges and Wallace in Knoxville, Tennessee. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate and Urban Development from the University of Tennessee and completed extended studies in the Graduate Planning Program at UT.
He has taught appraisal courses for the former Society of Real Estate Appraisers, chaired several committees in the Greater Tennessee Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, to include service as President in 1992. Ed currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Tennessee Chapter. Mr. Crook is qualified to testify as an expert witness in both circuit and federal courts in Tennessee. He is licensed as a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Tennessee and holds the MAI and SRA designations from the Appraisal Institute.
Andy Crook joined the firm in 2004 after working with Crook and Company while attending the University of Tennessee. Andy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Studies and is currently pursuing the MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute and has his real estate appraisal trainee license with the State of Tennessee. Andy is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and the Greater Tennessee Chapter.
Mike Orick joined the firm in 2005 after being employed 20+ years with Woodson Properties as manager of their real estate holdings including Woodson’s Mall in Lafollette, Tennessee. Mike is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. Mike is pursuing the MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute and is a registered real estate appraisal trainee with State of Tennessee. Mike has a licensed affiliate broker with the National Association of Realtors and an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and the Greater Tennessee Chapter.
